Breadcrumb

The Center coordinates with and has ties to the bi-monthly Latin American Perspectives (LAP) (http://latinamericanperspectives.com/), a leading journal on Latin America, which is headquartered on campus and has five UCR faculty on its editorial committee. Founded in 1974 by Professor Ronald H. Chilcote and academics in Southern California, the journal offers a vital multidisciplinary view of the powerful forces impacting the lives of people across the Americas. LAP is especially committed to providing a forum for scholars and activists around the world to engage in the timely analyses of critical issues, social movements, and political economy of Latin America’s insertion into the international system.

The journal also publishes two series of books, Critical Currents in Latin America and Latin American Perspectives in the Classroom through the publisher Rowman and Littlefield.  To date, some 25 volumes have been published.
